The Saddle Rack and Relay for Life of Almaden are hosting the “Rockin’ The Rack Against Cancer” benefit concert.
This special event will feature five live bands: Tennessee River Band, Old School Rock-N-Roll, Chrome Deluxe, California Blues Machine, and Cornerstone House Band. The event will also feature an auction of sports and music items!
Tickets are $20. All proceeds benefit Relay for Life of Almaden and American Cancer Society. The event is at The Saddle Rack in Fremont, California on February 19, 2012. The concert starts at 5:30pm. Doors open at 4pm. You can purchase tickets online.

Buyers were active in Almaden Valley real estate last week. The number of single family homes for sale dropped from 61 last week to 54 this week, while the percentage of listings that are under contract increased from 31% to 40% over the same timeframe.

Matilda’s Marvelous Adventure, a play written and directed by local Almaden Valley senior Mary Sheehan, follows Matilda Kumquat’s adventures as she travels around the world meeting various zany people she encounters along the way. Join in the fun and experience a humorous look at airlines, cruises, tourists, and tour groups.
The show will be presented on three dates at the Almaden Community Center:
- January 22, 2012, 3pm. Dinner show, including wine and dessert. $15 for members, $20 for non-members.
- January 24, 2012, 2pm. Includes popcorn. First-come, first-served tickets for $5.
